UK media practitioner visiting flood-hit areas
ISLAMABAD: UK media practitioner and human rights activist Karen Brown is visiting flood affected areas in Pakistan from September 20 to 27, says a press release issued here on Monday.
Vice chair of the international Board of UK Charity ActionAid, Ms Karen Brown has been proactive in fundraising and mobilizing international media and donor support for the flood victims in Pakistan.
Hailing from media industry herself (Deputy Director Programmes at Channel Four Television and a non executive director of a public independent television production company), she has been instrumental in supporting ActionAid’s international appeals for fund generation in order to scale up emergency response in Pakistan.
During her trip to Pakistan, she will visit South Punjab and Sindh where she will meet with the affected families and interact with the relief workers.
