Two killed over Karo-Kari
KHAIRPUR – A young man killed his stepmother here on Monday in village Jarro Khoh, Khairpur, on the pretext of Karo-Kari.
Ali Gul Kalihoro killed his stepmother, Mst Irshad Begum, 25, and surrendered himself to police. He said he was suspicious that his stepmother had illicit relations with a person.Separately, a girl student was wounded when the roof of Higher Secondary Girls School, Khairpur, collapsed. Reema, a student of class IX, sustained grazes when the roof of the classroom collapsed.
Sukkur correspondent adds: A young girl was shot dead by her brother in village Nabi Bux over Karo-Kari in Jhat Pat police station jurisdiction on the confluence of Sindh-Balochistan border on Monday. One Daim s/o Muhammad Malook Lashari allegedly opened fire on his sister Hajjan, 20, who died on the spot. Daim fled. The villagers said that Daim suspected that his sister had illicit relations with one Barkat Lashari.
