Khalid Iqbal, a shift in charge at a private television channel, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run accident on Shahrah-e-Faisal near Wireless Gate. Iqbal was riding his motorcycle when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle, whose driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance, Iqbal succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the vehicle involved sped away, leaving Iqbal critically injured at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear, though some reports suggest that chaotic road conditions, potentially exacerbated by alleged local traffic police extortion activities, may have played a role. Authorities have yet to confirm these claims, and the driver responsible for the accident remains at large as investigations continue.

Iqbal’s death has left colleagues and family mourning his sudden and tragic passing.
