Tree plantation a noble cause
CHANGA MANGA – Tree plantation is a noble cause and everyone should protect trees, said Syed Ajmal Raheem, Conservator of Forests Lahore here yesterday.
He was accompanied by Divisional Forest Officer Changa Manga Chaudhry Hayat Hassan.
Syed Ajmal said that forests will be protected at all costs. The CF Lahore also inaugurated the miles-long barbed wire boundary wall and tree plantation campaign.
He further stated that according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif they would protect Changa Manga Forest and this boundary wall was meant to safeguard the historical forest of Changa Manga.
He said 500 feet Iron grill had been fixed around the jungle along the populated area. He appreciated SDFO Changa Manga Ch Imran Sattar and Forester Rana Shaukat Ali Babar for their endeavours in tree plantation campaign.
