Three persons killed Karo-Kari
SUKKUR: Three persons, including two women, were killed over Karo-Kari, in separate incidents in the Karampur and Buxapur police limits near Kandhkot on Monday night.
In the village of Bagan Khan Bijarani in the Karampur police jurisdiction, a man shot dead
his wife and her alleged paramour.Wazir Ali Mirani suspected that his wife Saforan Mirani
was having illicit relations with Ghazi Bijarani. He along with his accomplices shot and killed his wife. Later, he raided the house of Bijarani, killed him and fled.Police on the complaint of Ghulam Rasool Bijarani, uncle of the deceased, has registered a case against 10 persons,
including Mirani, but no arrest was reported till the filing of this report.
In another incident which took place in the village of Kahero Golo in the Buxapur police jurisdiction, a man shot dead his sister Samani over Karo-Kari and fled. No case was registered.
Imtiaz Hussain adds from Khairpur: The bodies of two girls who were killed and later thrown into the Rohri canal over Karo-Kari five days ago could not be recovered on Tuesday.
Police with the help of divers have been making efforts to find the bodies of Lal Kahtoon and Yasmin Phulpoto. They were allegedlly killed over Karo-Kari by their relatives, including Rahim Bakhsh and Imam Dino Phulpoto, who have since been at large.
