Three journalists nominated for Unesco awar
ISLAMABAD: The Information Ministry has nominated three prominent journalists for the Unesco award for Freedom of Press, a senior official told The News on Wednesday. “We have nominated three journalists for Unesco’s Freedom of Press award after consultation with the PFUJ,” said the official. In the past, the ministry or the minister nominated journalists for such awards on their own without consulting the PFUJ. The official said it was the first time that the ministry had consulted the PFUJ for the purpose. He was, however, not ready to disclose the names of the three nominees.
