Three CD shops bombed in Kohat
KOHAT: A bomb blast destroyed three CD centres and partially damaged 16 other shops at Rasool Khan Market in the Shakardara Bazaar early Saturday. However, no causality was reported.
District Police Officer Abdullah Khan said a bomb, weighing three-and-a-half kilograms, exploded at 1:20 am near the Universal Music Centre, destroying it along with two other shops. The blast also partially damaged 16 other shops. Later, the police and the bomb disposal squad rushed to the market and cordoned off the area.
The Shakardara Police Station has filed an FIR against unidentified miscreants. Moreover, the DPO directed the SHOs of all police stations in the district to close down CD centres. The DPO issued these directives because of the ongoing attacks on music and video centres.
