Thar Youth Festival date extended by one week
KARACHI: On the directives of Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, the schedule of “Thar Youth Festival” has been extended by one week and now the festival would be held from January 17 to 19 in order to ensure maximum participation of youth from flung areas of the province. “The aim of holding the youth festival in Thar is to ensure maximum participation of talented youth from remote areas of interior Sindh who are willing to attend the festival despite limited sources. The festival will provide platform to youngsters to compete to show their skills,” said a statement.
In this connection, Subzwari chaired a meeting to review the arrangement of ‘Thar Youth Festival’. He directed the officers to ensure merit during festival, adding neutral jury is pivotal for the success of the event. Secretary youth affairs Shoaib Ahmed, director youth affairs Khursheed Ali Sheikh were also present.
