Tareekh Bolti Hai launched
Karachi: The book, Tareekh Bolti Hai (history speaks), based on interviews and personal meetings of senior journalist and analyst Nazir Leghari with world leaders, was launched on Friday.The book is an account of the author’s meetings and interviews with 15 world leaders. The author is the editor of Daily Awam, Karachi.
These include slain former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, the late King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, Afghan Taliban Amir Mullah Omar, former Indian prime minister V P Singh, former Nepalese premier Mohan Adhikari, former Sri Lankan president Chandrika Kumratunga, Afghan Defence Minister Shah Masood, former Labour MP Tony Benn (who was MP for 50 years and a minister for 10 years), Secretary-General British Communist Party Andy Brooks; former Afghan prime minister Gulbadin Hikmatyar, former Sri Lanka foreign minister and National Assembly speaker Anura Bandranaike, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid; and popular UK Labour MP Dave Anderson.
The book is a commentary on emerging issues in South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and deals with the trends in the developments in these regions.These interviews give a vivid picture of the global ramifications of communism, Islam, and liberalism.The book has been published by M/S Fareed Publishers, Mubarak Mahal, Urdu Bazaar, Karachi.
