Sukkur, Nawabshah Mirpurkhas TMAs get Rs 514 million
This, he said while presiding over a meeting of Naziins and Naib Nazims of TMA Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Sukkura office. District Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jameel was also present on the occasion.
He said that TMA Sukkur would be given Rs. 200.870 million, Mirpurkhas Rs. 196.540 million and Nawabshah Rs 176.100 million. This grant would ensure provision of infrastructural facilities, he added.
On complaints of shortage of staff, the minister directed the TMAs to appoint staff and sanitary workers on contract basis to ensure cleanliness. He assured that these TMA would also be provided staff after new recruitÂmerit.
He said TMAs have to generÂate their own resources keeping in viewthe developmentrequireÂments..He directed for chalking out a comprehensive master plan of TMAs so as to have precise data regarding priority sectors for development projects.
He said that TMAs were doing an excellent job, but there is always room for improvement. He directed for ensuring quality in all the development projects, besides their completion within stipulated time.
Highlighting the role of union councils in local bodies system, he said UCs should be involved for the implementation of any policy or development project.
Their active participation would not only ensure quality of work but it will also result on time completion of development schemes.
On the occasion, District Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jameel appreciated the interests of provincial minister for the solution of problems being confronted by the TMAs and district governments.
He briefed the minister about various development schemes of Hyderabad district, including projects of water, sanitation and roads.
