STN expanding network to cover 70 percent population
ISLAMABAD: The STN (Channel-3) expanding its network by adding eight more transmitters and replacing 12 existing ones with news transmitters as part of its modernization and expansion plan.
With this replacement and expansion, STN expects to reach out to nearly 70 percent of Pakistan’s population and cover more than 50 percent of its geographical area.
SRBE Board of Director approved the STN’s modernization and expansion plan, costing over Rs60 million, last year.
The channel had undertaken the present replacement and expansion programme from its own resources, which had been possible through consistently high profits which, had enabled SRBC.
The owners of STN will also pay handsome dividends to shareholders, and regular bonus to the employees for the fourth successive year.
