Steps for betterment of women
Karachi– The present government is undertaking practical steps for the welfare of women who form 51 percent of the country’s population.This was stated by the Sindh Minister for Women Development, Ms. Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto.
She was speaking at a ceremony organized in connection with the World Population Day, says a statement here on Sunday.
The Minister said that the present government has been paying attention towards the resolution of the problems of the commonmen. She stated that steps have been undertaken for the creation of employment opportunities.
The jobs, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto added, have been given in a transparent manner. She pointed out that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto wanted to empower the women economically as well.
The Minister said that in view of this Shaheed benazir Bhutto Youth Development Programme has been initiated and under this women are being imparted training free of charge in computer skills, entrepreneurship and other skills. She said that the participants of the training programme are also given stipend.
