Special arrangements for cleanliness on Eid
KARACHI :Almost all the towns of the city have made special arrangements to deal with the cleansing and sanitary conditions on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and declared emergency for lifting offal of the animals. According to the details special arrangements have been made in Gulberg Town for lifting offal on the occasion. The nazim has declared emergency in the town. All the emergency centres in the town will remain functional from morning to evening. It should be mentioned here that 99 pick-ups and 40 tractor trolleys have been arranged for lifting offal from 8 union councils of the town. The complaints would be submitted at central control room at 9246258-59.
Same arrangements have been made in Shah Faisal Town and the nazim of the town has announced contingency plan. The holidays of the officers and servants have been suspended and emergency has been declared in the town. Similarly Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town Nazim also visited the different areas and inspected the arrangements made for Eid. He was accompanied by Naib Nazim. He also inspected the ongoing work on scheme 33 for the lifting of offal through phone. In New Karachi Town a plan has been devised to acquire fertilizer from the offal of animals. In this concern ditches have been dug in New Karachi Town in the lap of mountains near sector 7-C. It has been decided that all the offal would be buried there while the Town Nazim told that all the arrangements for lifting of the offal have been made. He told this to the officers of town administration while holding an emergency meeting.
On the other hand the Additional Vice Chairman of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board has visited the SITE town and inspected the development projects of water board. While the 14th general meeting of Malir Town Council held under the presidency of Naib Nazim and Convenor. The convenor asked for the details of the arrangements made for the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. On the occasion the TMO briefed the members that contingency plan has been devised for the Eid. The Malir Town Nazim in this regard held a meeting with the vice chairman of water board and other officers for the supply of clean water to the town.
