Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi ordered the transfer of the Supreme Court’s Superintendent of Police—SP Security—following an incident in which a YouTuber took unauthorized photos of the CJP inside the mosque located within the court premises.

According to reports, the newly appointed Chief Justice was offering prayers in the mosque when a YouTuber captured his photos without permission. Upon completing his prayers, Justice Afridi summoned the security staff and inquired about the whereabouts of the SP Security. The Chief Justice was informed that the officer had left to attend an official meeting at the time of the incident.

This development comes just a day after Justice Afridi was sworn in as the 30th Chief Justice of Pakistan. President Asif Ali Zardari officiated the oath-taking ceremony, which included prominent figures such as Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, military leaders, governors, chief ministers, and federal ministers.
