Software standardization project launched

ISLAMABAD- Ministry of Science and Technology has launched a Rs 29 million project for standardization of Pakistani Software Industry.

Under the project, to be executed by Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the government will guide and assist Pakistani software companies in getting IS0 9,000 certification. The government will provide consultancy through a well-reputed local or international consultancy firm.

The IT companies will also be provided services of world-renowned international (European or USA based) auditing firms for the certification. IS0 certification is considered as an acknowledged standard among the circles of IT in Europe, Asia and Australia. All these regions are included in PSEB defined target markets.

So, in order to get a cutting edge supremacy in these markets the IS0 certificate is the need of the hour because only those companies with a standardization stamp on their products will be able to live, survive and gain success in the highly competent and vastly diversified international software market during the 21st century.
