Skill-building training for Pakistani Journalists on countering Misinformation and Disinformation

Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) invites applications for a two-day critical skill-building training workshop in Karachi for Pakistani journalists with the collaboration of Actions for Countering Disinformation and Information Value System Empowerment (ACDIVE). The training aims to increase participants’ critical skills to counter disinformation in both traditional and digital media, including investigative journalism best practices, data analysis, and fact-checking.

A mid-career journalist with 2 to 5 years of experience in the field will be trained to develop the skills of journalists to counter disinformation.

The following documents, in either English or Urdu, must be received by Tuesday, December 14, 2021, to be considered for the training sessions on countering disinformation and developing investigative journalism skills:

  1. Fellowship application form
  2. Professional resume/CV
  3. Links or clippings of at least three articles that were published or aired in the last twelve months.
