Sindh Government has setup an independent body of Sindh information commission for smooth process of RTI
The Government of Sindh has setup an independent body of Sindh information commission with an objective to oversee and ensure smooth process of Right to Information RTI in every Government Department/ Organization functioning under the umbrella of Sindh.
Designated officers under section-7 of Sindh RTI act 2016 have already been appointed by Government of Sindh and departments are obliged to display the name of designated officer on their respective website or notice board.
It is stated in the advertisement notice, by Sindh Government, printed in leading newspapers that, Sindh information commission can be approached in the case, the citizen concerned, desirous of obtaining certain information feels unsatisfied about the process at the level of designated officer concerned may prefer an application or complaint to the Sindh information commission under section-11(4) of the said act to conduct necessary proceeding towards remedy sought by an aggrieved citizen.
