Sindh Government Announces Additional Plots for Journalists, Warns of Action Against Institutions Who Fail to Pay Dues to Media Workers

At an Iftar dinner at the Karachi Press Club, Sindh’s Senior Minister for Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced the allocation of additional plots for journalists, highlighting the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) “excellent” working relations with the media community. The event was organized to honor journalists.
During his address, Minister Memon criticized some media organizations for failing to pay their journalists despite receiving significant amounts from advertisement revenues. He assured those present that the Sindh government would ensure media workers are paid their dues and warned that if they failed to do so, business operations of non-compliant institutions could be halted.
Memon emphasized his regular communication with journalist bodies such as the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ), and parliamentary reporters. He reiterated his dedication to supporting journalists, especially during challenging times, and affirmed his commitment to their rights.
