Shiv Sena opposes TV show featuring Pakistanis
MUMBAI: Police arrested 24 Hindu nationalists on Tuesday after they barged into a house where a hit Indian reality television show is filmed in protest against inclusion of two Pakistani actors in the programme.
The Shiv Sena activists stormed the gates of a bungalow where the “Bigg Boss” show is filmed to pressure producers to remove model Veena Malik and actor Ali Saleem, who is known for his television persona Begum Nawazish Ali.
Lonavala senior police inspector Balraj Lengle said no one was injured, but the 24 activists were charged with trespassing. Lonavala is a town about 100km from Mumbai.
