Sharjeel congratulates newly elected body of Sindh Journalists Council
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has felicitated the newly elected body of Sindh Journalists Council 2022 elected in general body meeting on Wednesday. The Minister praised the struggle Sindh journalists council for raising the voice of security of journalists community and promoting and protecting right of freedom of expression.
Sharjeel extended congratulations to Rafiq Bhutto who is elected as patron in chief, Qazi Zuliqar on President, Syed Munawar Alam senior vice president, Najibullah Naich vice president, Shahid Sial general Secretary, Asad Arain joint Secretary, Abdullah Solangi Deputy Secretary, Saleem Jhandeer Treasurer and Shabir Lashari Information Secretary elected on the Sindh Journalists Council body for year 2022.
The Minister hoped that the newly elected body would continue its struggle for the welfare and rights of journalists.
He added that Sindh government of Pakistan People’s Party has always supported journalists and journalists’ associations so as creating conducive working environment for journalists and media workers.
He assured council that Sindh government would continue to extend cooperation as PPP believe that free media is essential for democratic society.
