Shabbir Durrani dies
KARACHI- Shabbir Durrani, a senior journalist, expired on Wednesday after a protracted illness. He was 62 and left behind a widow, six daughters and two sons.
Durrani suffered from kidney and liver failure and was under treatment at the Kidney Centre since last two months. His burial took place in a local graveyard late on Wednesday night.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Benazir Bhutto and Party leaders expressed grief over Durrani’s death. The President and the Secretary of the Karachi Press Club, Khurshid Tanveer and Wali Rizvi, have also offered condolence to the bereaved family.
