Sethi fears attack on his offices
ISLAMABAD, May 7: Najam Sethi, editor of The Friday Times, has feared an attack by miscreants belonging to the PML on his offices situated at The Mall, Lahore.
In a statement on Friday, he claimed that for the past few days his staff had noted suspicious individuals loitering outside Vanguard Bookshop – the venue of his offices. When confronted, these people had abused and threatened the staff, saying they would burn the bookshop down.
Mr. Sethi feared that there was a plan to damage and vandalize the bookshop by elements instigated by Saad Rafiq, a leader of the PML Youth Wing.
He referred to a statement by Mr. Rafiq, appearing in a section of Press, in which he had threatened to attack Mr. Sethi.
