Senior journalist Nazar Abbas Bokhari laid to rest

SUKKUR: Senior journalist of Jacobabad Syéd Nazar Abbas Bokhari, 60, who died at Agha Khan Hospital Karachi due to prolonged illness in diseases of cancer and hepatitis, was laid to rest in Jacobabad on Sunday.

According to the reports, a large number of journalists belong to electronic and print media from different parts of Sindh province as well as political leaders, social workers and citizens attended his funeral prayers on Sunday, evening, later he was laid to rest in local graveyard of Mewal Shah. He rendered 40 years services as journalist during which he covered various events of important nature. He also times remained as President of Press Club Jacobabad for more than once.

He was also a social worker and in his life he struggled hard for the welfare of people. He has left behind a widow, a son and three daughters.

The journalists, citizens, political leaders and other different communities in their condolence messages appreciated his services as journalist.

Chairman Awami Press Club Jacobabad Dr AG Ansari, President Hakim, Vice President Abdul Rehman Afridi, General Secretary Zahid Hus-sain Rind have announced three days mourning on the death of Syed Nazar Abbasi Bokhari.
