Senior journalist Ghulam Hassan Malik passes away

KARACHI, January 16 2006: Long time Business Recorder staffer and senior journalist Ghulam Hassan Malik breathed his last late Saturday January 14 night at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. He was suffering from acute liver cancer. He was 72.

He leaves behind four sons and two daughters, besides a large number of friends and admirers to mourn his death.

He had been working in Business Recorder since 1967, which he joined as a sub-editor. At the time of his death he was working as senior assistant editor. He spent his whole career as a brave journalist. He never left Business Recorder, and kept working for the paper in most difficult times for the press.

He was buried in Sakhi Hasan graveyard after Zohr prayers on Sunday.

His Soyem would be held on Monday January 16 between Asr and Maghrib prayers, at his residence, House No A-182, Block C, Gulshan-e-Jamal, Karachi.
