Seminar on ‘TV channel ratings’ at PU ICS
LAHORE: Punjab University Institute of Communication Studies (PU ICS) is organising a seminar on “TV Channel Ratings: Sensationalism vs Responsibility” at Hameed Nizami Hall at 11am today (Tuesday).
Renowned journalist, anchorperson and analyst Syed Talat Hussain is the keynote speaker while Dean Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences Prof Dr Zakria Zakir, ICS in-charge Dr Noshina Saleem, all faculty members and large number of media graduates and students will attend the event. The seminar will be followed by question answer session regarding contemporary issues of media and role and responsibility of anchorpersons.
Institute of communication studies (ICS) established as department of journalism in the year 1941 is among the oldest institutes of journalism in Pakistan. ICS is the mother institute of all the journalism and communication departments of public and private sector universities with the distinction to provide faculty to all media institutes and media channels of the country.
