Rs120m grant for arts council
KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, has extended a grant of Rs. 120 million for the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.
This was stated by president of Arts Council Karachi, Ahmed Shah.
Talking to reporters on Thursday he said that the money would be utilized for five-story new block being constructed at the Arts Council.
Ahmed Shah said that the new block will have a 300-seat auditorium, audio visual library and studio, academies of music and theatre.
He said that later on we will seek upgradation of the Council’s Art School as the art university.
