Reporter arrested in Hangu
HANGU- Doaba police arrested local reporter of daily Mashriq, Peshawar.
The police arrested Hasan Mahmood Orakzai, under Section 40 of the Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR), a naked sword in the hands of political agents running the tribal agencies’ affairs.
Qudratullah Chaudhary, editor of daily Mashriq, has confirmed the arrest of the reporter in Hangu. “The police have arrested him for filing a story on the deteriorating law and order situation in the agency,” he added.
