Recovery of journalist
On March 26, Shahbaz Pathan, correspondent of “Daily Halchal” in Sukkur was released by kidnappers. According to news reports, he was released on pressure from police and influential persons. Police told that he was taken to a nearby rest house where kidnappers tied him and interrogated about his assets.
Shahbaz Pathan is the younger brother of Lala Asad Pathan, General Secretary of Sukkur Press Club and correspondent of ARY ONE television network. Shahbaz was kidnapped from Waspura, Sukkur on March 4, by armed men when he was playing badminton outside his house.
