RAWALPINDI (January 26 2008): Photo exhibition of former prime minister and chairperson Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Benazir Bhutto was held here at Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club on Friday. The exhibition was organised by senior photo journalist Amjad Hussain in collaboration with other professional photographers.
PPP central leader Senator Safdar Abbasi was the chief guest. Senior party leaders Qazi Sultan Mehmood, Zumarad Khan, Amir Fida Paracha, PML-N leader Akhtar Mehmood, President High Court Bar Association Rawalpindi Sardar Ismat Ullah, leader of PPP AJK Matloob Inqalabi and President Photo Journalists Association Sajjad Haider also spoke on the occasion.
Senator Safdar Abbasi said that she was the symbol of unity among federation and a personality of international fame. Party workers and others would remember her forever. He said that Benazir sacrificed her life for the betterment of people of Pakistan.
On the occasion last address of Benazir Bhutto was also watched at the press club. The venue was illuminated with thousands of candle lamps in the memory of Benazir Bhutto. The chief guest also gave away awards to the participating photographers.
