Rally against threats to media persons
TANDO ADAM: A large number of journalists belonging to print and electronic media took out a rally here yesterday to protest against threats of dire consequences to the reporter and a cameraman for making footage of incident of beating a man to death in Joharabad, Charkha Ghar locality of Tando Adam.
The lawyers, teachers, activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, PPP, Tehreek-e-Insaf, nationalist organizations and other civil society representatives also joined the rally to show their support to the journalists. The journalists, political and civil society leaders condemned threats to reporter Ishaque Ali Shaikh and cameraman Javed Chohan. They said police were keeping mum over the issue that speaks a lot.
