Rally against Nazim
The rally was led by councillors Moosa Mahar, Zahid Hussain Lakho, Nazeeran Bhutto and Nazeeran Magsi. The participants demonstrated outside the local press club. They accused UC Nazim Mohammed Ali Hakro of neglecting their areas in earmarking development funds as well as of withholding their salaries for five months.
They threatened to table a no-confidence motion against the Nazim if he continued what they called meting out discriminatory treatment to them. UC-3 Nazim Mohammed Ali Hakor, Naib Nazim Zakir Hussain Lakho and number of men and women councillors dismissed the allegations in a demonstration outside the press club.
Ali Hakor told journalists that the UC had received nothing for carrying out development in the area and added that the councillors’ salary cheques were at the relevant office. Instead of collecting their cheques they were trying to blackmail him, he said.
