Public voices complaints at DPO’s court

Reports said a large number of people turned up at the court and informed DPO Mirza Farah Baig about lawlessness, particularly street crime. People objected to picturisation of movies and stage play productions, calling them a source of
promoting obscenity in the name of culture.
The DPO issued on-the-spot directives and the B-division police registered a case against 11 people, including the manager of a known cinema.

A resident of Ghaziabad told the DPO that the contractor and his ‘goons’ insulted women at a toll point and extorted money without any let or hindrance. The DPO assured him that the toll point would be removed within three days and until then plainclothes men would be deputed there.
