PTV to start new channels in regional language: Rashid
KARACHI- Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Federal Minister for Information and Media Development, has said that the Government would start new Channel in the regional languages soon.
This he stated while meeting the PTV Karachi officials during his visit. He said that he had full knowledge about the problems of the employees and he would resolve them to their best satisfaction. He expressed satisfaction over the overall performance of the artistes, producers and directors. He said that PTV has done wonderfully well in broadcasting the local and international issues with facts and figures. As the media is free and there is no ban on expression, the PTV has played a key role in highlighting the news and views in the proper perspective. He said that the PTV was in conformity with the policies of the national media working independently.
Sheikh Rashid praised the professional expertise of the new Managing Director (MD), Ather Waqar Azim. He is a professional and brings with him a varied experience to the PTV as the MD, he said.
