The campaign is a part of the Independence Day celebrations. The celebrities endorsing the slogan of Salam Pakistan would include prominent politicians, poets, writers, artistes, singers and sports stars over the next 14 days. People from all walks of life would also be shown paying tributes to their motherland, Sheikh Rashid said.

The Salam Pakistan campaign was a tribute to the glory of Pakistan, he said and added that it was a celebration of both, our country and our nation.

The slogan makes every Pakistani take pride in oneself, as an individual, and as citizen of our motherland.

He said its other features included special celebrity endorsements, celebrity countdown, a series of young achievers’ interviews and a series of sights and sounds of Pakistan.
