LAHORE: On the direction of Managing Director, PTV Amir Manzoor Choadhary, Director Administration and Personnel Saif Ullah Shahid visited Pakistan Television Lahore Centre.  He was accompanied by Coordinator PTV Tanvir Rajpoot.  Upon reaching PTV Lahore Centre, he was warmly welcomed by General Manager PTV Lahore Saif Uddin, Heads of various departments and the union representatives.

Comprehensive meetings with all the stake-holders were held and various on-the-spot actions were taken by DAP for settlement of these issues.  Director Administration and Personnel Saif Ullah Shahid also paid visit to various departments to enquire their problems.   While talking to the HOD’s, he said that PTV Lahore Centre is one of the major contributors & production unit of PTV Network and PTV Management has always focused on the betterment of all its production units.

He said that PTV is a national asset of the country and committed to safeguard its national interests and social values. He stressed that every PTV employee is a real spokesman for national aspirations and patriotism.

He urged the employees should do their best for the betterment and productivity of the organization as it is the topmost agenda and vision of the MD PTV Amir Manzoor, to make PTV Network one of the best amongst its contemporary channels.

At this moment, DAP highlighted the significance & role of PTV Network being a state broadcaster and in projecting the positive image of the country within Pakistan and abroad.  DAP assured to the prompt solution of the transportation problems of PTV Lahore Centre and said that the vacant posts will be filled with suitable persons as per the prescribed educational qualifications and experience in the relevant fields. During a meeting with the delegation of retired employees, he announced to establish a Special Medical Desk for retired employees and assured them that medical facilities on credit basis will be restored for retired employees and the commutation rate for widows will also be enhanced.

All the Senior Officials, Union representatives and employees of PTV Centre Lahore unanimously thanked Amir Manzoor, Managing Director and Saif Ullah Shahid, Director Admin & Personnel for their keen interest in strengthening PTV and taking practical immediate actions in resolving their problems.  On this occasion, the Union flag-bearers said that we will always stand side-by-side with MD PTV and his actions for the betterment of PTV employees and the PTV Corporation.
