PTI regrets media hype on divorce

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) yesterday expressed regret at the manner in which media is giving malicious, conjecturing and rumours about the breakup of Chairman Imran Khan’s marriage with Reham Khan.

Spokesperson to Chairman PTI Dr Shireen Mazari in a statement categorically rejected all stories of vast monetary settlements made to Reham Khan and said these lies were deliberately being floated to target Reham Khan and Imran Khan.

“I wish to state categorically that stories of Reham Khan hitting Imran Khan are absolute lies – the product of a vicious mind,” she said.

She asserted that no PTI leader was privy to neither discussion of Khan’s marriage nor the divorce.
Accusations of party leaders being a cause of the divorce are fabrications, she said adding that the party leadership has always kept out of the chairman’s personal affairs and will continue to do so.

It is unfortunate that the media is floating the rumours and conjectures about the divorce of Imran Khan and Reham Khan at a time when both are going through a difficult time as are their families, especially their children, she concluded.
