PTCL, MLC start joint IT project
KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) begins joint development of information and communication tech-nology infrastructure in Military Lands and Cantonment (MLC) offices across the country.
PTCL and ML and C department has taken this joint initiative to automate the business processes by introducing Information Technology and computerisation at all levels of hierarchy. PTCL will be connecting all 62 Military Estate Offices (MEO’s) and Cantonment Boards (CB’s) through internet. It will facilitate the cantonments with a mix of its diversified product range including, Premium Internet Bandwidth with end to end fiber connectivity, Premium Business DSL and wireless broad band EVO Services. It will also provide a backbone to ML&C department to run a centralised online system.
