PTCL launches “Aasan” phone connections

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has launched “Aasan” pre-paid phone connection service. In the first phase, under the new service
300,000 connections would be available for 10 major cities.

These included Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Multan and Sialkot.

The PTCL President / Chief Executive Officer, Junaid I. Khan, told a press conference May 24 that pre-paid telephone connection service would be extended to other cities and rural areas to equally benefit them shortly.

Khan termed the new service as a big achievement of the PTCL and hoped that it would provide hassle free service to the subscribers.

Khan said the PTCL always endeavours to offer new privileges, superior benefits and maximum facilities to its valued customers through its broad spectrum of unparalleled services.

He claimed that the new prepayment telephony (PPT) service is one of the modern telecommunication services available on landline phone connection through prepaid cards and PTCL is the first telecommunication company is South Asia to introduce such service.

“Aasan” prepaid phone connection would provide subscribers an easy way of acquiring connection with minimum documentation.

For pre-paid telephone connection the applicants needs to submit the application with the new NADRA card.

The service enables the users to associate their lines to a prepaid account. It provides the facility to subscribers to load a prepayment telephony card against their telephone number thereby generating an account in platform and any call made from that telephone number will be charged to this account.

Aasan connection subscribers can access a wide number of facilities including instant nation-wide and international dialing connectivity and advanced digital features.

Khan told a questioner that normal PTCL call tariff and taxes would be applicable to Aasan subscribers. Prepaid cards with denomination of Rs500, 1,000 and 2,000 with extra call time incentives shall be available in all cities.
