PTA chief for local language content on Internet
ISLAMABAD: PK Registry PKNIC, in collaboration with online Urdu literature website U4U.COM organised a conference on “Local Language Content Stimulus” at Lahore.
Chairman Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) Dr Mohammed Yaseen was the chief guest of the event while Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) was co-sponsor of this event. PTA chief, Dr Mohammed Yaseen said that Pakistan has emerged as one of the leading markets in telecommunications especially in the voice segment. “However, the key towards further development of the sector remains with the availability of local content and applications,” he said. He further said organising such events is surely an important step for identifying the requirement of the subject issue.
