Protest against ban on government ads to Nawa-i-Waqt

DERA GHAZI KHAN – Activists of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith staged a protest demonstration on March 25, against the government’s ban to release advertisements to Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation.

Qari Abdul jabbar, Abdur Rauf, Haji Muhammad Latif Suhail, Hafiz Ahmad Hassan Advocate, Inamul Haq Hashmi and Hafiz Abdul Karim addressed the participants of the protest demonstration.

The protesters were caring banners inscribed with demands, for restoration of government’s ad to Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation.

The speakers said the Prime Minister seems helpless before the President of the state. The ruling Generals are not even ready to bear anything realistic against them, they added.

They remarked that the rulers object that why Nawa-i-Waqt writes against them but when these very rulers will come into Opposition in future they would realize what they did was wrong. They maintained that the difficult time which Nawa-i-Waqt is passing through for writing the truth is commendable and demanded that the government keeping its words of maintaining freedom of the Press should immediately restore the release of government ads to Nawa-i­Waqt and The Nation.

The speakers paid rich tributes to Nawa-i-Waqt for facing difficult times.
