Profundity of social media

“Was The Khan’s decision to allow Opposition speeches to be aired on television because Sharif would expose himself as a liar a good one or not.”

“If he hadn’t allowed it social media would have aired it.”

“And how many Pakistanis have access to the social media? Our rural areas where the bulk of our population resides would have had no access….”

“Rural areas didn’t have access in any case because Pakistan Television did not air the speech, our sixty plus private channels do not cover the rural areas.”

“Oh I see so The Khan’s supporters, mainly in cities, who also have access to social media got to see it on their TV screens rather than on the screen of their mobiles.”

“And I would like to add that if the regulator had been directed not to show the speeches it would have followed instructions.”

“As did the regulator in the past – during the Sharif era, same o same o…..”

“OK so what did you think of the Sharif speech?”

“Two observations…”

“Who do you think you are? A member of the judiciary?”

“We all have a judge in us – I reckon we are a nation of judges…”

“A judge delivers a verdict on the basis of proof not on the basis of a preconceived opinion…”

“I still have two observations; first in cities at least what Sharif said will find traction….”

“Hey Nawaz Sharif himself is a product….”

“Indeed he is but as The Khan says u turns is a mark of a great leader, besides now Sharif has a history of confrontation with the establishment…”

“I cannot imagine how ungrounded in reality of our politics you are – accusations’ against the other party’s leader is that particular leader specific, do not, I repeat do not, consider it can possibly be a ball that is hit right back at the bowler; and what is your second observation?”

“Maryam Nawaz was neutralized completely and I would assume that was because of daddy’s instructions, killing all debate of an S emerging from within the PML-N…”

“Zardari sahib did try to create a wedge between Uncle and Niece….”

“Indeed but the only space allowed her was to bring Parveen M Rashid along…”

“Get your keyboard replaced.”

“OK”
