Privatization of printing press opposed
KHAIRPUR- The activists of the Muttahida Mazdoor Federation (MMF) observed a token hunger strike against the auction of the Khairpur Printing Press.
Sher Mohammad Phulpoto, Khairpur District Assistant (Naib) Nazim (Councillor), Habibur Rehman Shaikh, PML Functional leader, Mohammad Ali Phulpoto, the MMF leader, and others also joined the hunger strike.
Syed Bachal Shah, president, the District Bar Association, Syed Mushtaque Shah, district president, Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association, and Allah Dino Samtio, leader, All Pakistan Clerks Association, visited the hunger strike camp and assured the protesters of their support.
Meanwhile, an application was filed in a local court against the auction of the press. On the other hand, when some businessmen from Karachi, Hyderabad and Larkana reached at the press to visit it, the workers did not allow them to enter the premises of the press.
