Press Club’s new office -bearers
PESHAWAR,December31,2005: Mohammed Riaz was elected president of the Peshawar Press Club on Friday.He obtained 110 votes against his rival Shamim Shaid’s 104.
The post of general secretary went to Saiful Islam Saifi, who secured 112 votes.Ihteshamul Haq Toru was elected vice-president by the toss of a coin. He and his rival Hazrat Kham Mohmand both secured 104 votes.
Fayyaz Aziz was elected finance secretary by obtaining 108 votes. The joint secretary’s post went to Faisal Akbar Afridi, who got 104 votes, while his rival candidate Mohammad Ali Khan secured 101.
Mohammad Sharif Mohmand, Nowsherawan Qalandar, Shehzad Anjum, jan Afzal, Ansar Abbas, Qaisar Shah, Inamur Rehman, lqbal Khattak, Tariq Afaq and Sameen jan were elected members of the governing body for 2005
