PPP’s two official websites hacked

LAHORE: Two official websites of the largest political party in the country, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), were hacked on Monday. The PPP has already been facing terror threats from the extremists, especially the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), during its current election campaign. Extremist forces have been carrying out bombings, targeted killings against three major liberal political parties, PPP, ANP and MQM.

On Monday, some hackers, who identified themselves as “Pakistani Haxors”, hacked the official Urdu website of the PPP and also its UK chapter website. The hackers left the message “your system has been hacked” on the hacked websites and named the hackers as Haxor Hasnain, Zaryab Jamil, King Haxor, Nadan Shahzada, Raho Haxor, Hunter Khan, Daniyal. To hide their identity and the location from where they were operating, the hackers have used typical method of changing the spellings of their names with numerals.

While talking to Daily Times, central in-charge of the PPP Policy, Planning and Media said that the party’s two websites were hacked by unknown persons and the experts were working to restore them as soon as possible. He said that it was an act of snatching from people the right to get information about the party’s activities.

He said that his party’s candidate were being targeted by the extremists through bomb blasts and suicide attacks to keep them away from the elections, but they would fail in their aims at the end, as the PPP cannot be stopped through unfair means. kashif hussain
