PPP will support APNS: Bilawal
Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has assured the assured the newly-elected office-bearers of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) that his party would support them in their efforts for the betterment of the country.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Bilawal congratulated APNS President Hameed Haroon, General Secretary Sarmad Ali and the executive committee members.
He hoped that the new body would play a positive role in the efforts against terrorism and turning the country into a welfare state.
He said the APNS was the prime body of the national and regional media outlets and the role of the media was going to define the future of the country and the democratic order.
Sindh Information and Local Government Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Information Secretary Dr Zulfiqar Ali Shalwani and Press Information Director Muhammad Yousif Kabooro also congratulated the new APNS body.
