Police release sketch of Cheema kidnapper

Appeal to citizens to help find the criminal

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have issued a sketch of the person who abducted The News staffer Umar Cheema in a kidnapping incident on Sept 4. The sketch was drawn up with the help of Cheema and police have asked citizens to help them identify the person.

The government has already announced a Rs 2.5 million reward for the arrest of the accused. The suspected man has almost 70 percent resemblance with this sketch. This man with round face, thin beard and trimmed small hair on head was wearing elite police uniform as he got off a black Land Cruiser pulling out Umar Cheema of his car and bundled him into the Land Cruiser.

He was around 26-27 years old, has dark brown colour and is of 5 feet-10 inch height. The management of The News has requested the public at large to help locate this man that may lead to the arrest of all those involved in the abduction of Umar Cheema.
