JAMSHORO, July 05 2006: Police on July 04 failed to find any clue to the two men who allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped 11-year-old Rukhsana of the Bharia village here on July 03. According to the girl’s father, Abdul Majid Channa, police and witnesses, two men abducted Rukhsana after making her unconscious through some sleeping drug and gang-raped her.

The culprits later threw the girl at Qasim Chowk, Hyderabad, from where a rickshaw driver took her to the Jamshoro police station. Meanwhile, police informed the girl’s relatives about the incident. Then she was brought to the Liaquat Medical Hospital, Jamshoro, where doctors advised her to be admitted to the LUMHS Hospital, Hyderabad, as her condition was stated to be critical.

After recording Rukhsana’s statement, police conducted a raid on RCB Colony and arrested the LUMHS University’s security guard, Rashid Gopang, on suspicion. However, no case had been registered till our going to the press.
