PM gives Rs 25m cheque for APNS House

ISLAMABAD: The delegation also acknowledged the budgetary proposals announced by the Finance Minister in his speech and apprised the Prime Minister that the feelings of the people at large reflected that the budget was as balanced and realistic as times allowed and were fully cognizant of the fact that even in these hard times, the government was trying its level best to alleviate the burden of the common man.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Minister for Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar, Secretary Information Taimoor Azmat, Press Information Officer Saleem Ahmed, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Shabbir Anwar and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

The APNS delegation was headed by Mehtab Khan Abbassi, Acting President of APNS and included Rameeza Majid Nizami, Joint Secretary, Munir Jillani, Finance Secretary, Ghulam Akbar, Executive Member, Danish Iftikhar, Executive Member and Muhammad Waseem, Executive Member.

The Prime Minister was also appraised of the speedy construction scheduled for APNS House in Karachi.
