Performance of PTCL reviewed
KARACHI, Jan 19: The president of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company, Akhtar Ahmed Bajwa, has directed the PTCL officials to take all possible steps for immediate redressal of problems of telephone customers.
Mr Bajwa chaired a high-level meeting at the PTCL South Region headquarters on Monday at which the performance of the last six months was reviewed. The general managers of Sindh and Balochistan briefed the PTCL president about targets for the provision of new telephone connections. They also informed the president about the recovery of revenue over the past six months.
Mr Bajwa emphasized the need for chalking out a strategy for providing fast telecommunication facilities so as to meet future challenges. Mr Bajwa directed the general manager development to increase the pace of development works so that targets of new connections for the next year could be met.
The PTCL president expressed displeasure over a large number of faulty telephones in New Karachi and issued directives for their immediate rectification.
