Pakistani journalists leave for Thailand

KARACHI: On the invitation of Praphat Chantaharn, the Consul-General of the Thailand at Karachi, a delegation of Pakistani journalists will leave for Thailand late on Sunday night, where they will be welcomed by the Information Ministry of the Thailand.

The delegation will remain in Thailand till March 27 and during its stay there, the senior journalists will attend important briefings on policing, business, trade, culture, education and the development of the country’s social set-up.

The delegation will go around a few industries, educational institutions, and e historical places, and will also meet with some dignitaries of Thailand, including the Shaikh-ul-Islam, and Pakistan’s ambassador to Thailand.

This is the first-ever study-tour for the Pakistani journalists, who were invited by the Royal Thai Government to witness the acceleration of the development process in Thailand.

The study-tour is likely to help establish business relations between the two countries and citizens of the both countries will able to know more about each other.

Moreover it would be also source of enhancement the professional skull of the visiting journalists, said a spokesman for Royal Thai C-G at Karachi.
